DO YOU WANT TO REPLACE THE EXISTING NORMAL?
This project is based on a conception that “Design can only follow our needs and desires, it can't create them”.However, the needs and desires in our daily life are all about benefits and materiality. Therefore, the products that we made today are lack of creativity and imagination.
What kind of creation may appear in this condition when humanity become more complicate in desires and needs, self-exploring and the non mainstream topics have been popularized?
The aim of the project is to promote the public thinking to higher level, and through the contrast between products and our life to propose a problem about our mediocre values.
It attempt to challenge original thinking, velues and vision of veiwers and stimulate people to reflect that many important social issues are always be ignored in our life and we are never care about it, when people watched these objects which are designed in anticipation of a time that Dunne and Raby are hoping for.
