Case Study : The ChatterBox

Nowadays, Our living and working environment has become saturated with computers and interactive technologies. Electric technologies make us more efficient, but have less time to rethink our dwell space, and learn how to truly experience ourselves exist in daily live.

“Speed” not only let us move more comfortable and quick, it also change the way that how we see and think the world. Meanwhile, we spent a lot of time to watch TV and sit front the computer than face to talking with our family and friends.
Slow technologies try to shift our experience from modern life, really care about our mind activities. Therefore, People cannot only live with design, but also feel our design through slower process and in meaningful ways.

The chatterbox creates an entertaining and charming information resource based on the e-mails sent at the office. Its output may lead less efficient presentation, but can inspire our creative thinking and provide an issue to discussion.


The chatterbox as slow technology can become a kind of informative art, it encourages people reflect more about their inherent space and concentrate more about the experience of a period of time. The chatterbox remind us not just use electronic products as tools in specific situations, try to slow down our life steps, find out the aesthetics of design, and reconstruct the relationship between our mind and environment.
