The project S.O.C.D (Sexual Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) is designed for people who enjoy porn video in physical but can’t face their real desire in mind. It is a porn player with a rubber which is used in sensing your level of sexual desire. The more desire you arouse, the more distortion of the sound and image cause dynamically. If you reach orgasm, the film goes blank Therefore, in order to enjoy the show, you need to hold on as possible as you could. Dunne and Raby attempt to provide a new conceptual form through designing a possible practice as a mode of discourse to raise sociological awareness on a radical critical parafunctionality. Rather than focusing on discoursing on what is a good design produced by an industrial designer, they offer a physical critique to present problems. Moreover, this research not only challenges the traditional perspective, but also establishes a new material critical theory. The aim of this research is seeing the electronic interaction object designed as a medium to elicit discussion and debate among design societies by making strange or poeticizing the distance between human beings and artificial world.
