In our life, the lives
become a habit and lose the ability to feel finally, but we can easily create a difficult form to us, such as selecting a familiar material and device to combine one. This project
shows the fusion of both familiar
and unfamiliar perception.
Force users to escape the trap of
efficiency. Rethink the possibilities.
Slowdown is giving us time to reflect. Past technological quest is more powerful and faster efficiency. The time squeezed into the invisible process in the pursuit of fast, even before the next decision had to give up thinking independently. Design is not just to solve problems, but also reflect in action by problem finding. Therefore, we need to let the slowdown occurring naturally from its own modes of operation to emphasize time flow. Make the familiar simple form to achieve defamiliarization through design to create a poetic distance between human and things.
A difficult form which stimulus people to generate doubts, problems, and thinking becomes the object as discourse and might force a hermeneutic reading.
