Dunne and Raby's project, called "IS THIS YOUR FUTURE?", exhibit a collection of hypothetical products to explore the ethical, cultural and social impact of different energy futures.
We usually regard the purpose of design as "solve problem" and "make world a better place". However, Dunne and Raby are not trying to provide a solution to the energy problem, they provide a broader view of the future by breaking the wonderful scenario we used to imagine when a new technology been innovated or a new method been proposed to solve an existing problem.

"Teddy Bear Blood Bags" is a radio whose energy is provided by blood. The future that Dunne and Raby provided is based on the technology of converting meat and blood into electrical energy. Even it is animal or human blood to generate energy, by simply changing the shape of blood bags into Teddy Bear, it seems to make the product friendly and acceptable. Designers poeticize the distance of human and this object, using adorable symbols as well as the cruel context. This dramatic contrast makes people feel conflict and guilty, to imagine themselves using this product without empathy. Point out that we usually accept a new technology with out debating. Also, the product bringing discuss about how aesthetic, as well as design, effects consumers’ attitude toward a controversial product.
